Garlic and Pine-Nut Sauce

This tasty sauce will leave you wanting to eat more.  Pour it over freshly steamed vegetables to add a healthy source of fat to your diet and help you absorb those wonderful fat-soluble vitamins.

Preparation time:  20 minutes
Makes 2 servings

     ½ cup pine-nuts
     2 cloves fresh garlic
     1 tablespoon white miso
     1 tablespoon sesame oil
     1 cup water
     1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon
     Salt to taste

Heat the pine-nuts over medium heat in a pan until they present a pleasant aromatic smell and brown just a touch.  In a blender add the pine nuts and blend until they are a fine powder.  Add the garlic, miso, and sesame oil and blend well.  Slowly add the water creating a milkshake-like texture.  Add salt to taste.  Heat this sauce in a pan over low heat until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes.  Mix in the tarragon and serve warm.
